Yes the weather's dreary, but in my fabulous raspberry cape I won't let it get me down. It's so much fun swishing down the street in a bright pink cape - everyone should have one. Plus,
pink and red together is awesome. I think it's going to be the basis of my autumn/winter palette - I want to try and avoid wearing too much black.

Wool beret, Accessorize; Cherry umbrella, New Look; Vintage (60s?) wool cape, charity shop (£5!); Cashmere cardigan, hand-me-down from Mummy; Gloves (they're actually pale green, you can't really tell in the pictures), Sandra's Vintage in Chichester; Handbag, hand-me-up from
my sister; Fishnet tights, can't remember; Shoes,
Hotter.
Wow your cape is amazing!!! Lovely outfit which definitely brightens up a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! That cape is marvelous!
ReplyDeleteOh you look adorable in that outfit! I used to go to school in outfits like that when I was little, and while capes were something every female wore in the late 60's early 70's,it always reminds me of being a happy kid in those fabulous gold tinged photos from back then :)
ReplyDeletethis cape is so lovely!

Love it Charlotte!
ReplyDeleteYou pull it off very well!
Wow, you obviously have much better charity shops than any near me! Had a root round the other day, and it was mostly hideous tat or really skanky stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt was, I have to say, an unprecedented bargain for Chichester's charity shops - you can hardly ever get anything for under a fiver. This was only so cheap because of a couple of moth nibbles and an oily mark (just visible in the pictures, near the bottom on the left), which landed it on the 'dressing up' rail.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to charity shopping, it's all about being persistent - I visit 8 local charity shops at least twice a week, and find something good maybe a couple of times a month; and something really good perhaps two or three times a year.
xx Charlotte
Oh, you look brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteI bet you brightened up a lot of people's days, being seen in the streets in such a delicious shade. I totally agree about not wearing too much black during winter; it's such an easy habit to get into and I'm afraid i gave in a little too much this winter. It's hard to get inspired about the season in my my own half of the world when the blogs I read are in the other :)
Thanks so much for posting!

I love your cape! I've been looking for one but so far, I haven't found the right one. I did buy a bright yellow 50's coat to wear the winter. Wearing bright colors sure does help beat the winter blues!! You look fab as always!! x
ReplyDeleteI wore a bright pink skirt and while cardigan with red roses today - the combination works surprisingly well!
ReplyDeleteLovely!! I am a firm believer in colors during dark seasons. While sometimes I have a dark coat, I almost always accessories with bright colors in my hat, scarf, gloves, etc. It's far too dreary to dress in all dark colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous pop of colour! I love mixing up reds and pinks. One of my favourite combinations is that of my red patent ballet pumps and my aubergine coloured tights, they clash, but in a scrumptious way.
ReplyDeleteI agree that pink and red is absolutely adorable combination!
ReplyDeleteI have also this combination for this winter. Red coat and pink cloche hat. I love it!
That cape is absolutely stunning on you!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing look!! Those colors are fantastic, and such a gorgeous cape.
ReplyDeleteFab outfit.. Red with envy? LOL
ReplyDeleteEveryone is finding capes in charity shops- tis most unfair! It looks wonderful on you! I want a red riding hood cape and then I'll be satisfied!
ReplyDeleteLove the cape...wow, what a find! And you've got to love your sis, that bag is delicious. Great look!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful look! love the cape! :)
